Augmented reality is a technology that is currently used in many domains in order to enhance the user experience and give interactivity to environments that would not offer this feature by default. The current paper presents the implementation of a system that controls remotely a robot, with onboard camera, for navigating a route. The purpose of the system is to display 3D information along the route using a marker based tracking system. The system uses Vuforia platform for augmenting the images captured from the robot and Unity for the robot control application.
